Terms & Conditions
Last updated July 7, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of The AI Internships, a free platform operated by GreyAlpha Technologies Private Limited ("GreyAlpha," "we," "us," or "our") that lets students anywhere in the world complete short AI "micro-internship" missions, earn verifiable certificates, and build a public Skill Passport. By creating an account or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use The AI Internships.
1. Acceptance of terms and eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use The AI Internships. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms, or that a parent or guardian has consented on your behalf where required by applicable law. If we learn that a user is under the required age, we may suspend or terminate the account.
2. Description of the service
The AI Internships is a free product that offers self-paced "missions" — short, real-world tasks that simulate the kind of work done in AI-adjacent roles. You complete a mission by submitting a deliverable, which is graded (using a combination of automated AI feedback and, where flagged, human spot-checks) against a published rubric. Passing certain missions earns you a certificate and contributes to your Skill Passport. We may add, change, retire, or re-balance missions, rubrics, gamification mechanics (XP, levels, streaks, badges), and other features at any time.
3. Missions and submissions
- You are responsible for the content of anything you submit, including text, links, and files.
- Submissions are graded against a versioned rubric; how a rubric applies to your specific attempt is pinned to the rubric version in effect at the time you submitted, so a later change to a mission does not retroactively change feedback you already received.
- We may flag submissions as off-topic, low-effort, or otherwise non-compliant, and may route flagged submissions to human review before finalizing feedback or issuing a certificate.
- You may resubmit after receiving "needs work" feedback, subject to any resubmission limits or cooldowns we put in place to keep grading fair and sustainable.
- We do not guarantee that any particular mission, feature, or grading behavior will remain available indefinitely.
4. Certificates and verification
A certificate issued through The AI Internships represents that, at the time of issuance, the named submission met the passing threshold of the rubric then in effect for that mission. It is not a degree, a professional license, or a guarantee of employability, and it does not represent an endorsement by any employer or third party.
Each certificate carries a unique verification code that resolves to a public verification page, so that anyone — for example an employer you share it with — can confirm the certificate is genuine and see its key details (title, tier, score, and any associated live-work link).
- Revocation. We may revoke or invalidate a certificate at any time — including after issuance — if we determine the underlying submission involved fraud, plagiarism, impersonation, an integrity-rule violation, or was issued in error. A revoked certificate's verification page will reflect its revoked status.
- Anti-forgery. Certificates and verification pages are generated and served only by GreyAlpha systems. You may not alter, recreate, or misrepresent a certificate's content, verification code, score, or issuance status, and you may not claim a certificate you did not earn. We may take technical and legal action against forged or manipulated certificates.
5. The public Skill Passport
You may choose to publish a Skill Passport — a public, shareable page summarizing your profile and verified certificates, as described in our Privacy Policy. Publishing is optional and reversible: you may switch your passport back to private at any time, after which the public page will stop resolving for your handle. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any profile information (such as college, course, or LinkedIn URL) you choose to display, and for deciding what to share and with whom once published, since a public URL may be viewed, cached, or shared by others outside our control.
6. Ownership of your work (student-work IP)
You retain full ownership of the intellectual property in the work you create and submit through missions (each, your "Submission"). We do not take ownership of your Submissions.
By submitting a Submission, you grant GreyAlpha a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, reproduce, process, grade, and — only where you have opted in (such as by publishing a Skill Passport or where a certificate's verification page displays a live-work link) — publicly display your Submission or excerpts of it, solely for the purposes of operating, grading, verifying, and improving the service. This license ends for the display purpose if you make your passport private or delete the underlying content, except where we retain a copy of a certificate's verification record as described in Section 4.
You represent that your Submissions are your own original work (or that you have the right to submit them), and that they do not infringe or misappropriate any third party's intellectual property, confidentiality, or other rights. Do not submit content you do not have the right to share.
7. Code of conduct and acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to attempt to:
- Plagiarize, or submit work copied from another person or source without the right to do so and represent it as your own.
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or organization.
- Post offensive, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or otherwise unlawful content anywhere it may be publicly visible, including in a published Skill Passport or a submission that becomes a public live-work link.
- Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or circumvent our grading, integrity checks, gamification (XP/streak/badges), or certificate systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service, including by introducing malware, scraping at scale, or attempting unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
Enforcement. We may, at our discretion and with or without notice, remove content, revoke certificates, suspend gamification rewards, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate this code of conduct or these Terms.
8. A free product
The AI Internships is provided to students free of charge. We do not charge fees for missions, certificates, or use of the platform, and we do not currently operate any paid tier, referral-payout, or commission program in connection with this product. If that ever changes, we will update these Terms and provide clear notice before any fees apply to you.
9. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, that grading or AI-generated feedback will be perfectly accurate, or that completing missions or earning certificates will lead to any particular educational, professional, or employment outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GreyAlpha will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law, including any liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or rights that cannot be waived under mandatory consumer-protection law that applies to you.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
Because The AI Internships serves a global student audience, these Terms are intended to be applied on a jurisdiction-neutral basis. Global users are not bound to any India-specific exclusive governing-law or arbitration provision (for example, arbitration seated in Pune) that may apply to GreyAlpha's other, India-focused products. Instead:
- Where the law of your country of residence gives you mandatory consumer-protection rights (including rights to bring a claim in your local courts, or rights that cannot be limited by contract), those rights are preserved and these Terms do not override them.
- Where no such mandatory local right applies, we will work in good faith to resolve disputes informally before resorting to formal proceedings, and any formal proceeding will be brought in a manner and venue that is reasonable and fair to both parties given the global nature of the service.
- Nothing in this section is intended to deprive you of any protection you are entitled to under the law of the country in which you are a consumer.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time as the product evolves or as legal requirements change. We will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you, such as through an in-product notice. Continuing to use the service after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the service, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if we discontinue the service. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 4, 6, 9, 10, and 11) will survive.
