Build a WhatsApp storefront for a local shop
WhatsApp is India’s biggest sales channel for small businesses. Set up a real WhatsApp Business storefront — catalogue with AI-polished copy, greeting, away message, quick replies — for a real (or realistic) local shop.

The work brief
- 01Install WhatsApp Business (free) and set up a business profile for a real local shop you know (with permission) or a realistic one you design.
- 02Build a catalogue of at least 5 products: real photos, descriptions drafted with AI and edited to sound like the shop, honest prices in ₹.
- 03Configure a greeting message, an away message, and at least 3 quick replies for common questions.
- 04Test the full customer journey yourself and screenshot each piece working.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit the shop, your catalogue entries, your automation messages, and screenshots proving it’s actually set up in the app. Also include your AI workflow — tools, best prompts, and what you changed from the AI’s output. Add a second screenshot of your greeting/away/quick-reply setup, and make sure the products and messages shown match your written entries.
The shop (type, area, what it sells)
Short answerRequiredYour 5+ catalogue entries: product, description, price
Written responseRequiredYour greeting, away message, and 3 quick replies (with the trigger for each)
Written responseRequiredScreenshot of the storefront set up in WhatsApp Business
Must show the actual WhatsApp Business app UI with the business profile name visible, not a mock-up.
Image uploadRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Screenshot of your greeting/away message and quick replies configured in the app
Shows the automations really exist inside WhatsApp Business, matching the messages you wrote.
Image uploadRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Actually built
29%Screenshots show a real configured WhatsApp Business storefront.
Catalogue craft
29%Entries are complete, priced sensibly, and sound like the shop.
Automation logic
14%Messages handle real customer situations well.
Really built, consistent
29%Screenshots show the real app UI, and the products/messages visible in them match the submitted text. If the screenshots aren’t the real app or the catalogue/automations don’t match what’s shown, this criterion is a fail regardless of copy quality.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
