Track yourself for 5 days, then analyse it
The best first dataset is your own life. Track something real about yourself for at least 5 days — screen time, spending, study hours, sleep — then use AI to analyse it and make one honest chart.

The work brief
- 01Pick 2-3 things to track daily (e.g. screen time from your phone’s digital wellbeing screen, every purchase or amount spent, study hours).
- 02Record them for at least 5 days in a simple table — date, metric, value, note.
- 03Use AI (ChatGPT data analysis or Sheets + Gemini) to find patterns: which day was worst, what correlates with what — then verify its two biggest claims against your raw rows.
- 04Make one chart of your most interesting pattern.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Paste your raw tracked data as CSV, describe how you collected it, share your insights and chart. Data collected over days looks different from data invented in a minute — we check. Include your AI workflow — tools, best prompts, and what you changed. Include at least one dated screenshot of the raw source (your screen-time screen, bank app, or sleep app) and make sure its numbers match your CSV rows.
What you tracked and exactly how you collected it each day
Name the exact screen/app you read each day (e.g. Digital Wellbeing, your bank app) and when you recorded it.
Written responseRequiredYour tracked data as CSV (date, metric, value, note)
One row per day per metric (date, metric, value, note); real tracking has variance and odd days. Its dates and values must match your source screenshot.
CSV dataRequired3 things the data told you about yourself (with numbers)
Written responseRequiredA chart of your most interesting pattern
Image uploadRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Dated screenshot of your raw source (screen-time screen, bank app, sleep app) showing a visible date
Must show the app's real interface with a visible date that matches a row in your CSV — this proves the data was collected, not invented.
Image uploadRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Real collection
29%The data has the texture of real multi-day tracking (variance, notes, odd values).
Analysis
29%Insights are numeric and follow from the submitted data.
Chart
14%The chart matches the data and communicates one pattern.
Verifiable data provenance
29%The dated source screenshot, the CSV and the chart must reconcile (same dates/values). Flat, invented, or unverifiable data with no dated first-party source is a fail regardless of prose quality.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
