Micro-internship brief ≈6h across 3 days — start collecting on Day 1no-code

Spot the AI content in your own feed

Your feeds are filling with AI-generated posts, images, and ads. Collect 5 real examples from your own scrolling, break down the clues, make your own fake with an AI tool to learn those clues from the inside, then verify one with a reverse search.

The work brief

  1. 01Over a few days, save 5 posts/images/ads you suspect are AI-generated (Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp forwards).
  2. 02For each, list the clues: unusual hands, broken text in images, over-smooth writing, impossible details, or no verifiable source.
  3. 03Recreate one example yourself with a free AI tool and note which clues your fake shares with the real ones.
  4. 04Pick one and actually verify it — reverse image search, check the account history, find the original.
  5. 05Link a public source that settles it (the original image, a fact-check, the account).

What you’ll produce

4 deliverables

Submission standard

Submit your 5 examples with clues, a screenshot of the strongest one, and the verification link for the one you investigated. Include your AI workflow — the prompts behind your own recreation and which clues it shares with the real thing. Upload the AI image you made yourself in step 3, and make sure your evidence screenshot shows the post in its real feed context.

  • Your 5 examples: where you found each, and the clues

    Written responseRequired
  • Screenshot of your strongest example

Screenshot must show the post in its real feed context (account/handle, date or platform UI visible), not a cropped image alone.

    Image uploadRequired
  • Public link that settles your investigated example

    Public linkRequired
  • How you verified it: what you searched, what you found

    Written responseRequired

You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.

What you must submit as proof

This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.

  • The AI 'fake' you made yourself

Upload the AI image you generated in step 3 so it can be compared to your listed clues and prompts.

    Image uploadRequired

Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.

Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.

How your work is evaluated

The passing benchmark is 70/100.

Real collection

33%

Five distinct, real examples with specific clues — not textbook cases.

Verification

33%

The investigation actually settles whether the example is AI-generated.

You built your own fake

33%

Auto-fail if there is no recreation image, or it is generic and doesn't match the student's own stated prompts and named clues.

How we grade your AI usage

30% of your score

Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
