The 7-day money diary
You can’t manage money you don’t see. Track every rupee you (or your household, with permission) spend for 7 straight days — every chai, every recharge — then use AI to categorise it, find the leaks, and change one thing.

The work brief
- 01For 7 days, log every single expense the moment it happens: date, item, amount, cash/UPI, needed-or-wanted.
- 02Build the CSV, then paste it into AI to categorise and total it: food, transport, data/recharges, impulse. Recheck its totals yourself — AI fumbles arithmetic.
- 03Find the patterns: your biggest leak, your most surprising total, your cost-per-week of one habit.
- 04Pick ONE change for next week, project its yearly saving, and write how you’ll actually stick to it.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit your raw diary as CSV, the category analysis, a chart, and your one change. Real diaries have ₹7 chai and odd amounts — suspiciously round weeks fail. Include your AI workflow: your best prompts and the totals you had to correct. Add a photo of at least one real receipt or UPI confirmation from the week with the shop and date visible, and make sure that exact amount appears as a dated row in your CSV.

Real 7-day diary: one date column with entries on 7 distinct dated days. Include the exact transaction shown in your receipt photo as a row. Round, gap-free weeks fail.

What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
A dated photo of at least one real receipt / UPI confirmation / handwritten log page from your 7 days
The shop name and date must be visible, and this exact amount must appear as a dated row in your CSV.
Image uploadRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Real diary
29%The entries have the texture of real spending — odd amounts, small items, gaps.
Analysis
29%Categories and totals are correct; the leak-finding is genuinely diagnostic.
Actionable change
14%The change is specific, the yearly maths checks out, the plan is realistic.
First-party, dated proof
29%At least one photographed real transaction (visible shop and date) whose amount and date match a CSV row, with entries across 7 distinct dated days. If the photo is missing, stock, or its number is absent from the CSV, this criterion fails regardless of prose quality.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
