Run a real survey, get 15+ responses, find the story
Analysts don’t just analyse data — they collect it. Design a survey with AI’s help, get 15+ real people to answer it, then use AI to find the story in the responses — and verify it.

The work brief
- 01Pick a question worth answering (e.g. "how do students in my class actually use AI for homework?").
- 02Draft questions with AI, then fix them yourself — remove leading questions, add options people actually need.
- 03Build it in Google Forms and collect 15+ real responses (class groups, hostel, family).
- 04Export responses, clean them, and ask AI to hunt for patterns — then verify the numbers behind your 3 most interesting findings yourself and make one chart.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit the live form link, the exported responses as CSV, your findings, and one chart. The form must be genuinely public and match the CSV columns. Include your AI workflow — tools, best prompts, and what you changed. Attach a screenshot of your Form's Responses tab showing the response count and the spread of submission timestamps.
Link to your live Google Form
Public linkRequiredExported responses as CSV (15+ rows)
Exported responses including the Form's auto Timestamp column (15+ rows). Timestamps should spread over real time, not all land in one minute.
CSV dataRequiredYour 3 findings, each backed by numbers from the responses
Written responseRequiredA chart of your strongest finding
Image uploadRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Screenshot of your Form's live 'Responses' summary tab showing the response count and timestamps
Must show YOUR form's response dashboard (response count and the spread of submission times) — proves real humans answered over time.
Image uploadRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Real responses
29%15+ responses that look like real, varied humans answered.
Survey design
14%Questions are neutral, answerable, and fit the research question.
Findings
29%Findings are specific, numeric, and would surprise someone.
Genuinely human responses
29%Response timestamps must spread over real time and answer variety must look like real, varied humans — not one person self-filling or invented rows. Uniform timestamps or duplicated answer patterns are a fail.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
