Give a real local business a digital glow-up plan
Every intern’s first marketing task: audit a real business’s online presence. Pick a shop or service near you, audit their Google Maps listing, socials, and reviews, then work with AI to turn your findings into a 7-day plan they could actually follow.

The work brief
- 01Pick a real local business you can visit or know (kirana store, salon, café, coaching class).
- 02Audit their presence: Google Maps listing quality, photos, reviews and reply rate, Instagram/WhatsApp presence.
- 03Screenshot the evidence — the good and the broken.
- 04Use AI to help draft a 7-day plan (one action per day), then edit it so every action fits a small owner’s time and budget.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit the business, your audit with specifics, screenshot evidence, and the 7-day plan. A plan for a made-up business, or one without evidence, won’t pass. Also include your AI workflow — tools, best prompts, and what you changed from the AI’s output. Include the public Google Maps link to the business, and make sure your screenshots show its name and the app they came from.
The business (name, type, area)
Short answerRequiredYour audit: what’s working, what’s broken, with specifics
Written responseRequiredScreenshot evidence from your audit
Screenshots must show the business’s name and the app they came from (Google Maps / Instagram UI visible), not cropped generic tiles.
Image uploadRequiredThe 7-day glow-up plan (one realistic action per day)
Written responseRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Public Google Maps / Business Profile link to the exact business you audited
The grader will open this to confirm the business is real and matches your audit and screenshots.
Public linkRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Audit depth
29%Findings are specific to this business — things only visible by actually looking.
Evidence
14%Screenshots back up the audit’s claims.
Plan realism
29%Each action is doable by a small owner and tied to an audit finding.
Verifiable real business
29%The listing link opens to a real business that matches the named audit and screenshots. If the link is missing/dead/not a real listing, or the screenshots don’t show the named business, this criterion is a fail regardless of how good the plan reads.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
