Design an infographic that survives fact-checking

Infographics are where design meets data — and where most of them quietly lie. Take real data from a source you can link, design an infographic that’s both beautiful AND accurate, and annotate exactly how each visual element maps to the true numbers.

Steps

  1. 01Pick real data that matters to you (from your own data micro-internships, or a public source you can link).
  2. 02Extract the 3-5 numbers with the strongest story. Verify them against the source.
  3. 03Design the infographic with AI + Canva: sized bars/circles must be proportional to the real values — measure, don’t eyeball.
  4. 04Annotate a copy: each visual element → the exact number and source it represents.
