Build an FAQ bot on a real business’s real info
Customer-support bots are the most common first AI project at real companies. Collect a real business’s actual information — menu, prices, timings, policies — build a chatbot on it, and prove it answers correctly (and admits what it doesn’t know).

The work brief
- 01Pick a real business and collect its real info: visit, call, or use their listings. 15+ facts minimum.
- 02Use ChatGPT or Gemini to structure your raw notes into a clean knowledge base — then verify every fact yourself before it goes in.
- 03Build a bot on that knowledge with a free bot builder (Chatbase, Botpress, Landbot, or a Custom GPT with a shareable link).
- 04Test it with 8 real customer questions — including 2 it CAN’T answer from the knowledge, to check it doesn’t make things up.
- 05Fix the worst answer and show before/after.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit the business + knowledge you collected, the shareable bot link, and all 8 test transcripts including the trap questions. Include your AI workflow: tools, best prompts, and what you changed from the AI’s output. Attach a photo or listing screenshot that proves the business is real and matches the facts you loaded into the bot.
The business, and how you collected its info
Name the real business, its city/area, and exactly how you collected the info (visited, called, or read which listing). Generic 'a local café' fails the authenticity gate.
Short answerRequiredThe knowledge base you built (15+ real facts)
Written responseRequiredShareable link to your live bot
Public linkRequired8 test Q&As including 2 trap questions, plus your before/after fix
Written responseRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Photo or screenshot proving the business is real (storefront, menu/price board, or their listing with the name visible)
Must show the actual named business — a storefront photo you took, their printed menu, or their public listing — matching the facts in your knowledge base.
Image uploadRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Live bot
29%The link opens a working bot that answers from the business’s info.
Real grounding
29%The knowledge base is real, specific business information.
Hallucination handling
14%Trap questions show the bot declines rather than inventing answers.
Real business, proven
29%The photo/listing must show the actual named business and reconcile with the knowledge base; if it is missing, generic/stock, or the facts don't match the proof, this fails.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
