Promote a real micro-event — and report real numbers

Marketing is only real when something is at stake. Pick a real micro-event — a club meeting, study group, tuition demo class, society cleanup — build the promo assets with AI, actually run the promotion, and report what really happened.

The work brief

  1. 01Pick a real upcoming event you’re connected to (or create one — a study session counts).
  2. 02Build the asset pack with AI + your editing: a poster, 3 captions/messages for different channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, notice board), and a reminder message.
  3. 03Actually run it: post/send through real channels over several days.
  4. 04Report the outcome honestly: how many saw it, responded, and showed up — versus what you expected.

What you’ll produce

5 deliverables

Submission standard

Submit the event, the full asset pack, the poster, proof the promotion actually ran, and the honest outcome numbers. Also include your AI workflow — tools, best prompts, and what you changed from the AI’s output. Add a screenshot of the real reach/response numbers from your own account (handle and date visible) that matches the turnout you report.

  • The event: what, when, for whom, and your attendance target

    Short answerRequired
  • The asset pack: 3 channel messages + reminder, as actually sent

    Written responseRequired
  • The poster you made

    Image uploadRequired
  • Screenshot proving the promotion ran (sent messages, posted story)

Screenshot must show the promotion actually going out on real channels (sent messages, posted story) with visible dates.

    Image uploadRequired
  • The real numbers: reach, responses, turnout vs. target — and your diagnosis

Report reach/responses/turnout that match your metrics screenshot, and diagnose the gap vs. target.

    Written responseRequired

You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.

What you must submit as proof

This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.

  • First-party screenshot of the real reach/response numbers (your account/handle + date visible)

Story insights, group member counts, or form responses from YOUR own account — the numbers must match your reported outcome.

    Image uploadRequired

Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.

Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.

How your work is evaluated

The passing benchmark is 70/100.

Actually ran

29%

The promotion genuinely went out through real channels for a real event.

Asset craft

29%

Assets are channel-appropriate and better than raw AI output.

Outcome honesty

14%

Numbers are real and the diagnosis explains the gap vs. target.

First-party outcome numbers

29%

The reported numbers are backed by a first-party screenshot from the student’s own account, and the promotion proof shows it really went out. If the outcome has no matching first-party evidence, or looks inflated/invented, this criterion is a fail.

How we grade your AI usage

30% of your score

Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
