Every tiffin service, tuition class, and craft seller runs on maths they’ve never written down. Build a working break-even and pricing calculator in Google Sheets for a real micro-business, fill it with their real numbers, and show them their own economics.

Steps

  1. 01Find a real micro-business (family, neighbour, a friend’s side-hustle) and collect their real numbers: fixed costs, per-unit costs, current price, typical volume.
  2. 02Build the Sheet: inputs clearly marked, break-even units/revenue computed live, and a what-if section (what does a ₹5 price rise or a 20% cost jump do?).
  3. 03Walk the owner through THEIR numbers. Record what surprised them.
  4. 04Share the sheet with a public view link, with their data anonymised if they prefer.
