Automate a real chore end-to-end
Workflow automation is the most-hired no-code skill right now — and AI is how the pros design one. Build a working automation with at least 3 connected steps that removes a real chore — a form that files itself into a sheet, a daily digest.

The work brief
- 01Pick a chore you or someone you know actually does repeatedly (collecting entries, sending reminders, logging expenses).
- 02Describe the chore to ChatGPT or Gemini and have it design the trigger → transform → action flow — then challenge anything that looks wrong before you build.
- 03Build the automation in n8n, Zapier, Make, or IFTTT (free tiers) with at least 3 steps: trigger → transform → action.
- 04Run it for real at least 3 times and screenshot the run history showing successful executions.
- 05Record a short demo (screen recording) and upload it with a public link.
What you’ll produce
Submission standard
Submit the chore, your workflow explanation, screenshots of the editor AND run history, and a public demo video link. Include your AI workflow: tools, best prompts, and what you changed from the AI’s output. Also paste a public link to the AI chat where you designed the flow, and make sure your run-history screenshot shows your own account and the run timestamps.
The chore this removes, and who does it today
Short answerRequiredYour workflow: each step, what it does, and what broke while building
Written responseRequiredScreenshot of the workflow editor + run history with successful runs
Screenshot of the workflow editor AND the run history — your builder account/workspace name must be visible, and the run history must show real timestamps for the 3+ executions.
Image uploadRequiredPublic link to your demo video
Public linkRequired
You’ll complete these inside your private workspace.
What you must submit as proof
This brief requires evidence an AI can’t fabricate.
Public share link to the AI chat where you designed/debugged the flow (ChatGPT/Gemini 'Share')
Must be YOUR live shared chat showing the real trigger→transform→action back-and-forth, not a retyped summary.
Public linkRequired
Submissions without this evidence cannot be submitted.
Protect other people in your proof. Blur faces, names, phone numbers and email addresses before you upload, and refer to anyone you worked with by role or number ("Listener 1", "the stall owner"). Your proof is only ever used to check your work — it is never published, never appears on your certificate, and is never shown in your public portfolio.
How your work is evaluated
The passing benchmark is 70/100.
Actually runs
29%Run history and demo show the automation executing successfully.
Real usefulness
14%It removes a chore someone genuinely does.
Understanding
29%The write-up shows they understand each step, including what broke.
Proof it's really yours
29%If the run history lacks your account/timestamps, the demo link is dead, or the AI-chat link is missing or generic, this fails regardless of how polished the write-up reads.
How we grade your AI usage
Using AI is the point — it’s the skill this certificate proves. You’ll answer three short questions about how you used it: what you asked, what was wrong with its first answer, and what you changed. Specific, honest answers score high. “I pasted the brief and submitted the answer” scores near zero.
